Hello hello!

haven't used the Newgrounds blog feature in a while (and the website as a whole TBH), but with 2023 coming to an end I reckon it's time to look back!

The year 2023 as a whole has a been a very "higher highs, lower lows" sort of year, definitely a lot of achievements and setbacks, but that's mostly about personal IRL experiences...

"What about art?" You may ask?

In regards to art, this year has also had its highs and lows- I didn't begin posting to Newgrounds until April, so there's some missing artworks from here that you can only find on my other socials.

For the first few months of 2023 I did plenty of doodles as I had no time to make full blown artworks, but things did pick back up around the end of March when I began speeding up my drawing process!

Now we reach June, exams are crushing my free time so now I gotta be even more careful about managing time; when the exams finished I shouted "hooray! Now I can make art more frequently!"

...

and then I burnt out.

I was looking forward to July, with Artfight around the corner I was excited to draw other folks OCs, and I just couldn't bear to draw at that point; I only had two or three artworks done during that time.

Once I got over by burnout I returned to a somewhat frequent drawing schedule, but not for long as I had to pick up a mandatory 52 weeks internship+school for the other half of my diploma- it is something I'm somewhat managing successfully (with some laziness on the side, so art has gotten back to being infrequent).

So where are we now? With a major project in the works and bright hopes in front of me, I envision 2024 as a year full of art and as an opportunity to expand my styles and techniques!
